Trekking in Oman
The mountains of Oman offer superb opportunities for trekking in unspoiled areas with their own unique ambience & grandeur.

The Eastern & Western Regions of the Hajjar Mountains have the best routes suitable for day walkers & trekkers of all grades.

You can choose your route, depending on whether you want to walk away from all inhabitants for a couple of days, or explore the culture & traditions of the "mountain people" who live high up in the recesses of the rock fissure, where springs of water break through and cultivation thrives.

The Western Region includes Jebal Shams, Hoti Cave, Soiq Plateau, Wadi Awf, Bilat Sayt and the famous "green mountain" Jebal Akhdar.

The Eastern Region includes Jebal Sharm, Kebe Keb, Wadi Bani Khalid,
Wadi As Shab, Wadi Dayqah & Wadi Tiwi.

The principal season for walking is from October to May when the temperature is acceptable & dry with night being pleasant but chilly depending on altitude.
